Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily club operations to ensure exceptional member/customer experiences.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment. Prepare and maintain position descriptions for all staff and volunteers supervised by the club manager.
- Implement effective shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels and service quality.
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Utilize retail math skills to analyze inventory levels and manage stock efficiently.
- Coordinates scheduling and coordinating all events at the Post including facility rentals. Coordinates with the 2nd Vice Commander on Post activities.
- Address member/customer/volunteer inquiries/complaints and resolve issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Manage the restaurant, bar, and facilities within an assigned budget.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the club.
- Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, local laws, and codes as they apply to the Post.
- Actively promotes and supports all American Legion Programs and Legion functions.
Skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in supervising teams in a retail or club setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in recruiting top talent and conducting training programs for new hires.
- Experience in retail management with a focus on driving sales growth.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and retail math principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with staff, volunteers and members.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments while maintaining focus on club goals.
