Position: Bartender

Job Description: We are seeking a committed and proactive bartender to join our team. As a bartender, you will play a crucial role in promoting and growing our business while ensuring patrons receive top-quality service. You will work in a non-profit Veterans Organization environment, catering to diverse personalities and effectively handling tense situations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform opening and closing duties as needed.
- Ensure the bar is well stocked and clean throughout the shift.
- Monitor customer behavior and track sales.
- Maintain compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures.
- Conduct equipment maintenance during the shift.
- Utilize point-of-sale tracking technology and bar/restaurant management platforms.
- Perform other duties that arise during shift.
Skills and Qualifications:
- TIPS Certified (currently certified or willing to get certified)
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, leadership qualities, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the food, beverage, and hospitality industries.
- Previous experience as a bartender.
- Must be reliable and dependable.
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform under pressure.
- Proactive with great initiative.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and twist for extended periods.
- Perform normal bartending skills, making drinks, using small pizza oven, logging used inventory, collecting payments (cash, credit card, checks), etc.
- Flexibility to expand hours/shifts on a weekly basis or as needed.
Work Hours and Duties:
- Tuesday from 4:00pm to COB (Close of Business) with possibility of additional days.
- Wednesday from 4:00pm to COB (Close of Business) with possibility of additional days.
- Availability to open early for special events if needed.
- Availability to fill in as needed throughout the week/weekend (day and/or night shift) for illnesses, vacations, etc.
