Primary Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist's role in the classroom is:
- to design and implement thematic curriculum areas,
- to ensure that students master the goals and objectives of the curriculum,
- to document the progress of all students in all developmental domains,
- to collaborate with the educator to support the acquisition of spoken language skills in the students using a transdisciplinary model,
- to participate in clinical research projects relating to outcomes in children with hearing loss,
- to share expertise from the field of speech-language pathology with other staff members
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure and certification required
- Ability to work in a team-teaching environment
- Ability to work creatively and in a self-directed manner
- Resourceful, flexible, and service-oriented
