Summary

Work a flexible schedule to provide speech language pathology assessments and ongoing treatment for children and adults within the scope of practice of a speech-language pathologist licensed to practice in the State of Maryland. May provide services on site at Gateway and in the surrounding community.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Plan and provide speech language evaluations and treatment for clients
• Write appropriate reports in association with evaluations and treatment that meet all compliance regulations
• Collaborate with family and other staff to aid/improve client's speech and language skills
• Conference/consult with families and/or caregivers
• Maintain appropriate records of treatment, such as clinical notes, attendance records, and other data as may be requested
• Schedule clients within 48 hours of assignment
• Provide regular written report summaries (quarterly)
• Collaborate with outside agencies when appropriate
• Maintain active caseload through scheduling and outreach
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Masters' degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Maryland License
• ASHA Certification (CCC)
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented environment
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written
• Proven endeavors toward professional growth and learning
• Computer literacy
  
  

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Frequently requires sitting, using hands, reaching and twisting
• Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds with or without assistance
• Standing and walking throughout the day
