The Data Analyst will be responsible for ingesting data and reporting on Ambridge's underwriting performance. The primary objective of this role is to maintain ownership of Ambridge's claims data ingestion process, ensuring all claims reports (bordereaux) received from Third Party Administrators (TPAs) are timely, accurate, and uploaded into Ambridge's database. Secondary objectives will be to assist in creating logic and reports to support analysis of the information. Role will also periodically be called on to assist with underwriting data reporting development. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with experience in analyzing data, identifying trends, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Maintenance of Ambridge's claims bordereaux inbox, cataloging that all expected reports have been received
- Running and maintaining SQL code in order to validate bordereaux data is coming in accurately and being stored into Ambridge's databases
- Data validation - Ensure the proper loss data are provided for technical processing and underwriting pre-work.
- Developing and automating reports that provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) such as claims frequency, severity, and loss ratios.
- Creating logic and code using SQL and DAX within Power BI
- Ensuring data quality and accuracy by performing regular audits and reconciliations.
- Work alongside TPAs to correct data issues and ensure accuracy of information.
- Collaborate with actuarial and claims teams to understand business requirements and build claims dataset for reporting enhancements
- Assisting in underwriting data logic and report development as required.
