Work with VP / SVP, and other members on the Amynta Surety Team, in the marketing, production and underwriting commercial surety business in accordance with the U.S. Surety business plan, underwriting standards and procedures (AUP).
- Enroll and Complete the following AFSB (Associate Surety & Fidelity Bonding) Courses :
AFSB 151 - Understanding Surety Bond Basics
AFSB 152 - Contract SuretyAFSB 153 - Mastering Commercial Surety Bonding & Crime InsuranceDevelop and build strong relationships with assigned producers and active and prospective account risk managers and executives.Develop and prosecute producer and target account marketing plan in support of surety business objectives.Underwrite account and bond new business opportunities. Negotiate terms and conditions including security agreements and collateral. Establish single and aggregate credit limitations for each account and monitor continuously.Underwrite and monitor existing accounts on a continuous basis and follow for information updates as needed.Communicate proactively and effectively with producers and account where applicable.Negotiate and structure terms, conditions and rates consistent with surety strategy, underwriting standards and rate filings.Participate and undertake applicable professional, technical and career development training (delivered internally and externally) to include attainment of associated qualifications where required.Ensure company, market and client related documentation is issued (internally and externally) accurately and on time where applicable.Comply with external and internal regulatory and statutory policies, procedures and regulations.Operate as an effective team member by supporting colleagues and contributing in the delivery and achievement of overall team and business objectives.Liaise with relevant and associated areas and groups within the business process to establish, support and maintain business relationships and organizational effectiveness.Undertake any other duties of a similar nature that the company reasonably requests to be performed that are within the expertise and skills of the jobholder.BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
College degree (or equivalent experience in surety underwriting / service required.MINIMUM JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong analytical skills.
