Job Description
The Program Intern has responsibility for assisting in the successful operations of the AnBryce Foundation. The incumbent provides effective coordination of AnBryce services necessary and desirable to support and achieve fulfillment of the mission. This includes but is not limited to interaction with participants and families and providing administrative support to the various programs. The responsibility includes the Saturday Programs; all special mentoring/outreach projects and extends to aspects of the Camp Dogwood Summer Academy.
General Duties
- Works closely with the Director of Programs, Director Of Summer Residential Programs and Programs Administrator to accomplish goals and objectives of all AnBryce programming and activities
- Helps maintain effective communication with the parents/guardians and program participants.
- Enter and maintain participant records such as student academic and demographic data
- Prepare binders, manuals and flyers
- · Manage special projects as assigned
- · Research new activities and opportunities for program participants
- Provide assistance to the AnBryce staff
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Completed two years of college
- Ability to work well under pressure and to be flexible
- Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse community
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
- Ability to develop and make presentations, oral and written
- Ability to be a team player
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and social media
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner
· Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
· Ability to communicate various concepts to children and adolescents
· Stay abreast of trends and best practices in youth development
