Summary
This role will be a combination role, supporting the General Manager, overseeing various reports, data
tracking, and analysis to ensure seamless support for the GM and the leadership team.
The right person for this role will also be skilled in crafting clear and effective communications and the
ability to conceptualize, design and develop social media initiatives.
How you will make contributions that matter:
- Planning company and developing presentation content to effectively communicate business objectives and initiatives.
- Composing and editing internal written and visual communications to ensure consistent messaging and compliance with corporate branding.
- Gathering, writing, editing, and promoting accurate and timely content for internal and external audiences.
- Responsible for creating/updating various metrics, trackers, and reports.
- Preparing and editing correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents for our customers, Supply Chain, and other constituents.
- Acting as the point of contact for the Leadership team, our main customers, and our vendors.
- Creating and maintaining standard and special spreadsheet reports to ensure availability of complete and accurate data.
- Focus on managing and creating content for an organization's social media platforms. Engage with audiences, monitor social media trends, and analyze performance metrics, offering hands-on experience in digital communications.
- Arranging and coordinating meetings and events, including hospitality needs and facility set-up.
- Acting as the communication liaison with our customers’ regional offices & DC.
- Recording, transcribing and distributing minutes of business meetings.
- Collaborating with Customer Service and Transportation to update internal customer communication lists and maintain various website contacts and company information.
- Directly supporting the General Manager and Executive Team for any necessary administrative support.
What you will need to be successful:
- A bachelor’s degree in communications or related field is preferred.
- One to three years of communications experience with strong writing and editing, with and project management ability.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to set priorities under pressure.
- The right person for this role must have strong attention to detail, including proficiency in spelling and grammar, which is essential to this role.
- Candidates should demonstrate effective written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and professional documents.
- Must be a creative-minded initiative-taker who can multi-task well.
- Ability to manage and coordinate complex projects independently, as part of a cross-functional team.
- Experience planning and executing meetings and events.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, including Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using B.I. tools to leverage business intelligence, analyze data, gain insights into audience behavior, and inform strategic communication decisions.
