The Anderson School is looking for a violin or Cello (if you teach both all the better) teacher with a passion for teaching beginners as young as three on Wednesdays starting immediately. Opportunity to grow with additional lessons on the weekend as need demands.
Our ideal candidate has a degree in music with an emphasis in performance or pedagogy and at least two years of teaching experience. We will consider current music majors for this role. We are looking for candidates who have a solid foundation in the instrument they teach. You must have a passion to teach young beginners, as young as a precocious three-year-old, to adult. It is critical that our teachers instill a love for music in their students in our quest to build a generation of lifelong musicians. Ideally you live in the South Bay.
All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important. Starting pay for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience is $45 per hour with a potential performance-based raise after a 90-day assessment period.
