Position Overview
The Coordinator, Human Resources is responsible for the administration of processes within a specific human resources discipline. This position provides assistance to internal and external customers, interacts with external vendors or service providers, coordinates departmental specific tasks, and manages data and generates reports. A Coordinator who is positioned within a business group has responsibilities which are more broad and generalized, assisting the business unit in completion of HR processes and adherence to related policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports.
- Processes HRIS transactions and maintains data according to processes within area of focus
- Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, HR Partners, department heads, insurance providers, and public and private agencies.
- Coordinates procedures relative to area of focus including benefits enrollment; pre-employment and post-offer activities; HRIS and Payroll processes. Coordinator positioned within business unit helps managers and employees complete these HR processes.
- Resolves issues related to area of focus and contributes to continuous improvement solutions
- Provides clerical and operational support to human resource staff.
- Assists in or prepares correspondence as warranted by area of focus

- Completes work with appropriate tact and discretion, and a limited degree of supervision
- Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience
- Identifies key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data
- Takes a broad perspective to problems and spots new, less obvious solutions
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ relevant experience required
