Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for dogs and other pets.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pet's grooming needs and any concerns.
- Handle pets safely and gently, using proper animal restraint techniques when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Assist in the care of animals in the facility, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their behavior.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal care or veterinary services is preferred.
- Strong skills in dog handling, animal handling, and animal restraint are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Knowledge of pet sitting practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with equine care is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare is essential for success in this role.
