Responsibilities
- Review patient medical records and update information as needed
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs
- Maintain client educational materials and ensure they are easily accessible
- Perform routine housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Admit and discharge patients efficiently and effectively
- Take prescription refills, process and log them accurately
- Monitor hospital patients and record vital signs
- Administer medications as needed and in accordance with protocols
- Assist with restraining patients during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. You should also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work well under pressure. A high school diploma or equivalent and one to two years of related experience are required. Registered Veterinary Technicians are preferred but not necessary.
