Company Background and Role Overview
- Outbound Call Center Position: This role supports Concealed Coalition, a company providing the gun training required for individuals to qualify for their concealed carry permit. The training requirements vary by state; some states allow virtual training while others require in-person sessions. The duration of training and whether shooting practice is required also varies. Concealed Coalition has local trainers across the United States conducting this training.
- Customer Interaction: Customers typically find Concealed Coalition through ads on Google or Facebook. If they start but don’t finish the buying process, you will call them almost immediately to help complete their order.
- Hot Leads, Not Cold Calling: This is an outbound call center position, but it involves contacting hot leads. These are potential customers who have already shown interest, visited the website, and provided their phone number for follow-up.
- Call Volume and Sales: On average, you will make about 250 calls a day. Approximately 1 out of 5 calls will result in the customer answering the phone, and you will average 4 sales per day.
- Concierge Service: In addition to completing orders and scheduling training classes, you will provide a concierge service to simplify the process for customers, explaining the necessary steps to obtain a concealed carry permit issued by their state government.
Logistics
- Compensation: The position pays $15 per hour plus a 4% commission. Your hourly rate is paid weekly, and commissions are paid twice a month.
- Schedule: This is a full-time role with several schedule options to choose from.
- Remote Work Requirements: This is a fully remote position that requires an office setup, including a quiet working environment, computer, headset, and high-speed internet. We do not provide equipment, and Chromebooks and MacBooks are not compatible with our systems.
- Benefits: We offer a full benefits package after 90 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.
The Good, Bad, and the Ugly
- Nature of the Job: This is a call center position, which involves repetitive, high-volume dialing every day. It’s not for everyone.
- Complexity of the Product: Our concealed carry permit process is complex due to varying state laws. The call center training program is extensive, requiring patience and a willingness to learn. It's not uncommon to make few or no sales in the first few days as you get comfortable with the system and details.
- Culture: We focus heavily on culture, striving to create a fun and engaging environment. We value personal development, and many employees say we feel like a family.
We look forward to welcoming dedicated and motivated individuals to our team!
