Position Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our gallery. You will be responsible for assisting clients with their needs, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our sales process as well as managing various administrative tasks. Your ability to stay organized, work in a fast-paced environment, and effectively collaborate with others will be crucial to your success in this role. Weekends are a must for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet, direct and assist clients with their purchases, providing knowledgeable guidance, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Answering phone calls and addressing client inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
- Learning and proficiently using our Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions
- Creating detailed tier sheets for clients and accurately generating invoices for transactions.
- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Collaborating with team members and taking directions from supervisors to achieve gallery goals.
Qualifications:
- 3 years previous experience in retail or customer service is a must
- Experience with antiques and decorative arts is desirable
- College degree
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems or the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for antiques and an interest in learning about their history is a plus.
