Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in early childhood education. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their well-being while promoting their development through engaging activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with children in a safe and supportive environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
- Provide infant care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized daycare space, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain up-to-date first aid certifications.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Document children's progress and maintain accurate records as required.
Qualifications
- A degree or Director 1 or 2 certification in Early Childhood Education is required per EEC . Updated CPR and first aid certification is also a requirement.
- Experience working with infants and young children in a daycare or educational setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
- First aid certification is required; CPR certification is a plus.
- Experience working with children with disabilities needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that foster learning through play.
