Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced vehicle mechanic to join their team. As an Ambulance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of the fleet of ambulances to ensure they are always in safe and working condition. Your primary duties will include performing routine maintenance checks, diagnosing mechanical issues, and completing repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities :
- Work with the Fleet Manager to maintain a fleet of emergency ambulances and other company vehicles
- Assist the Manager in developing and maintaining a top-notch maintenance program that focuses upon the continued safe and reliable operation of the fleet
- Perform all necessary repairs, checks, and preventative maintenance that is required up to and including major overhauls
- Assist the manager in educating the operators about the various functions of the vehicles
- Become familiar and be able to repair all interior non-medical equipment such as gurneys, fasteners, lifts, and emergency warning devices
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Always be courteous and helpful to employees and represent the organization in a professional manner
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required :
Sunday - Wednesday, 10-hour shifts
