We are urgently hiring a Special Education (RSP) Teacher to join our team at one of our schools in the Pacoima, CA area. In this role, you will collaborate with general education teachers in inclusive classrooms to support students with diverse learning needs. Pay Rate: $42.00 - $49.00 per hour
Location: Pacoima, CA. 91331
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:15am - 1:30pm)

Qualifications:
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree (Master's Preferred)
- Required: California Clear or Preliminary Resource Specialist Teaching Credential in Mild to Moderate
- Confident computer technology skills
- Proficiency with Special Education Systems, like SEIS and/or Welligent
- Experience working in an IB world school
- Recent and relevant professional development in teaching and learning
- Experience and/ or knowledge of backward planning to develop learning units
- Proven ability to work in an urban school environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Preferably Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support students' unique learning needs.
- Provide special education services as outlined in students' IEPs, ensuring compliance with goals and objectives.
- Assess and evaluate students to determine their specific educational requirements.
- Document special education support in the SPED-X system and report progress on IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student progress and necessary accommodations.
- Coordinate and schedule services to ensure students receive the appropriate support.
- Maintain compliance with special education regulations and due process requirements.
