The Arbor School of Central Florida, a sensory-based school, is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Special Needs First Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children with special needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that are adapted to meet the individual needs of each student
- Provide a safe and nurturing learning environment for students
- Monitor and evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a coordinated approach to student education
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and behavior
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field, Master's degree preferred
- Experience working with young children with special needs
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for teaching students with special needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
