Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages resident participation and interaction.
- Collaborate with staff, families, and volunteers to enhance the overall experience of residents.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activities, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for all participants.
- Monitor and document resident participation and feedback to continually improve programming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting their overall well-being.
- Assist in the coordination of special events, outings, and seasonal celebrations to enrich community life.
- Support residents with mobility and accessibility needs during activities, ensuring everyone can participate.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma; additional education in recreation therapy or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a recreational setting preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine passion for working with older adults.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop engaging activities.
