What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pressure Wash Supervisor position at THE ARC BALTIMORE?
Working Pressure Wash Supervisor to supervise one or two Supported Workers and sometimes flaggers. Responsible for Workers’ safety throughout shift. Responsible for assigned transit locations pressure washing, (Bus shelters & Rail platforms). The individual that holds this position is often re-assigned as a Policing Supervisor due to seasonal constraints or other contract obligations. (Policing is ‘outdoor custodial’, i.e. litter pick-up, trash can liner replacement, sweeping, cleaning benches, glass, etc.).

Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring that the Supported Workers’ rights and dignity are protected, and that they have maximum opportunities to fully participate as a member of the Policing department.
- To be the ‘safety professional’, always insuring that safety policies and procedures are followed without exception.
- Must be able to drive a large 6-wheel pressure washing truck, requiring DOT certification.
- Assume responsibility for all equipment used on jobs, including care and safe operation, promptly reporting damage or losses.
- Submit manifests, electronic data, and other documentation as required daily.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individual plans for assigned workers and maintain pertinent documentation electronically.
- Attend PCP meetings for supported workers.
- Take responsibility for the professional maintenance of assigned contracts, ensuring contract requirements are completed within allotted time.
- Complete all agency required trainings for position.
- As a working supervisor, demonstrate the techniques used in pressure washing and policing work, and set the pace for the workers.
- Will be required to work evenings, weekends or holidays if required (including snow removal) or trainings.
- Maintain assigned vehicle, submit monthly vehicle logs, and report problems or damage immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of Pressure Washing experience
- Must have DOT certification or pass certification as a condition of employment
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- High school diploma or G.E.D required
- Valid driver’s license (not provisional) with a clean driving record
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to get to work when needed
Preferred:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- Some computer skills necessary
- Must work effectively within a team environment
- Experience using cell phone applications helpful
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, push, pull, and carry a variety of tools, equipment, and supplies. Requires good physical coordination and stamina.
- Required to maintain DOT driving status.
- Must also be willing to transport people supported as needed and meet the agency’s driving requirements.
- All work is outdoors year-round. Must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Work locations are often in dangerous locations including parking lots, roadways, and commuter rail systems.
- Some evenings and weekends are required.
- Must be available by use of a personal cell phone.
