The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, the Receptionist ensures a welcoming and professional environment at The Arc. This role is essential in maintaining security protocols, providing outstanding customer service, and supporting daily office operations. By greeting guests, directing inquiries, and answering The Arc’s main phone line, the Receptionist helps create a positive and seamless experience for all who engage with the organization.
In addition to front desk responsibilities, the Receptionist supports the Office Coordinator/Manager with various administrative and office tasks. This may include organizing mail, maintaining communal areas, and assisting with special projects. With a strong focus on efficiency and professionalism, the Receptionist plays a key role in keeping the office running smoothly while upholding The Arc’s commitment to excellent service.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. They are fluent in English, highly organized, and customer service oriented. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Experience handling administrative tasks, maintaining office organization, and managing security protocols is preferred.
