The Arc Central Chesapeake Region (The Arc) supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Executive Assistants play a vital role in ensuring seamless operations at the executive level. They provide critical support to senior leadership, helping to drive organizational efficiency and support strategic priorities. As the connective tissue between leadership, the Board, and key stakeholders, this role is essential to advancing The Arc’s mission and impact.
The Senior Executive Assistant will provide high-level, overarching executive-level support to the President & CEO, Chief Program Officer, and Vice President of Strategy. The Senior Executive Assistant will manage all aspects of calendaring and special projects as assigned and provide a variety of administrative support to assigned senior executives. The Senior Executive Assistant will support board management, including attending meetings and taking minutes, coordinating logistics, and assisting board committees. The Senior Executive Assistant will work with a collaborative team and must thrive in a fast-paced, high-output, high-intensity environment. The Senior Executive Assistant will be a member of the Leadership Council.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident in supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. They will have excellent communication skills, be skilled in calendar and board management, and demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to handle sensitive situations with poise are essential.
This position requires a high school diploma or GED; a Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. 5 years of relevant experience supporting executive leadership is also required.
