Position Summary:
The Associate Director of Outreach and Admissions is responsible for the Intake/Admissions Department within the agency and in conjunction with the Marketing Department, develops strategic goals and initiatives to increase visibility, awareness, and enrollment in The Arc Erie County Programs and Services. Works closely with other team members and management to develop, maintain, deepen relationships with key business leaders, community-based organizations (CBOs) and providers, ensuring all efforts are directed toward enrollment.
Viewed as a “subject matter expert” (SME) by the community and influencers on the disability services within the community and region. Acts as an internal SME on all supports and services offered by The Arc Erie County New York.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. Directly supervises the Coordinator of Intake and Admissions.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Master’s Degree, including but not limited to a Healthcare Field (with Specialty), Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology PLUS three years of direct service experience with the developmentally disabled.
OR
Bachelor’s Degree, including but not limited to a Healthcare Field (with Specialty), Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology PLUS five years of direct service experience with the developmentally disabled with at least two years in a supervisory, marketing, and/or project management capacity
OR
Associate’s Degree, including but not limited to a Healthcare Field (with Specialty), Sociology, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology PLUS seven years of direct service experience with the developmentally disabled with at least four years in a supervisory, marketing, and/or project management capacity

- Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals, and growth and choice targets, as established by management.
- Delivers presentations, attends meetings and distributes educational materials to both internal and external stakeholders
- Identify partnerships with opportunities for education about supports and services
- Identify and promote programs out in the community and create opportunities for employees to participate in
- Plan, organize, and execute outreach events

- Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual enrollment goals, and growth and choice targets, as established by management.
- Delivers presentations, attends meetings and distributes educational materials to both internal and external stakeholders
- Identify partnerships with opportunities for education about supports and services
- Identify and promote programs out in the community and creates opportunities for employees to participate in
- Responsible for managing their own daily schedule in alignment with department goals
- Works collaboratively with Program Directors to develop marketing initiatives, enrollment targets/capacity, and new program development
- Identify community needs and refer to program management for further development.
- Identify and cultivate stakeholder relationships to support engagement and agency growth
- Plan, organize, and execute outreach events
- Ensure events are inclusive, welcoming, and reflect the agency's mission and values.
- Develop and maintain relationships with schools, and other relevant organizations.
- Maintain a professional relationship with area school districts to include Committee on Special Education Chairpersons, School Psychologists, and Special Education Teachers
- Serve as a liaison between the agency and the broader community
- Supports/Services:
- Knowledge of all The Arc Erie County New York’s supports and services, including but not limited to OMH, OPWDD, and the Department of Education
- Maintains awareness of generic and specialized services and supports available to persons with developmental disabilities. Maintains knowledge of service continuum and how to access it. Promotes natural supports in the community.
- Provides information and consultation concerning developmental disabilities to community agencies and individuals as requested.
