Job Title: Staff Trainer
Department: Quality Improvement and Training
Job Grade: 3
Position Summary:
Provides training modules to staff. Assists the Training Manager as needed.
Reporting Relationship:
Works under supervision of the Training Manager in collaboration with the Chief Human Resources Officer, and Director of Human Resources.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Bachelor’s Degree PLUS one year full-time direct service experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
OR
Associate’s Degree PLUS two years administrative experience.
PLUS
Certification in Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention-Revised and First Aid/CPR and/or willingness to be certified within reasonable amount of time after hire. Preference will be given to an individual with Instructor Certification in one or both areas.
Preference will be given to a candidate with an education and/or training background.
Valid NYS driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

- Coordinates, Assists, and presents sessions regarding the New Employee Orientation
- Teaches SCIP-R course according to program needs and facilitates the Agency SCIP program
- Primary administrator for the Relias LMS. Shall ensure that staff and managers are enrolled in appropriate courses/modules, trained on the use of the LMS and assists in developing/distributing ad hoc and re-occurring reports.

- Assumes primary responsibility for the provision of training.
- Assists in the development of staff training modules.
- Coordinates, assists, and presents sessions regarding the New Employee Orientation
- Teaches SCIP-R courses according to program needs and facilitates the Agency SCIP program.
- Teaches agency First Aide/CPR courses according to program needs.
- Communicates through written/electronic/verbal means, documents such as summaries, reports, follow-up evaluations and other training related materials.
- Communicates and enroll staff in trainings as needed.
