We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Behavioral Specialist to join our team.
The Behavioral Specialist will be responsible for conducting functional behavior assessments, developing behavior support plans, and providing training and guidance to direct support staff and caregivers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral analysis, crisis intervention, and autism-specific strategies, as well as experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
· Provide direct support, consultation, and training to staff and caregivers regarding behavioral interventions and strategies.
· Monitor and analyze behavioral data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary modifications.
· Ensure all services align with ethical and professional standards.
· Provide crisis intervention support and guidance when necessary.
· Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, therapists, and case managers, to support individuals’ overall well-being.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work, Special Education, or a related field.
· Experience in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing Behavior Support Plans.
· Must possess a Behavioral Specialist license.
· Strong understanding of behavior analysis principles and evidence-based interventions.
· Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism.
· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
