What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional Day Program - WOW Program position at The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY?
Like all of our staff at The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, our Day Program DSP’s are an important part of the lives of the people we provide supports and services to.
Positions are available throughout Sullivan and Orange Counties.
You will spend your day focusing on individual person’s quality of life and to facilitate individuality, independence, inclusion and productivity. You will provide active programming throughout the day, provide on-going supervision of program individuals and maintain organization of the work environment and the materials/supplies in it, maintain appropriate documentation of individual progress, provide active representation (verbal presentation) for the individual they serve through a written report to Interdisciplinary Team, insure that individual rights, health and safety are safeguarded, respond to, report and document incidents and occurrences using approved format and procedures and participate in on-going training and in-services to promote personal and professional growth. You must maintain current Medication certification and/or any required certifications.
One year experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred. Ability to assist in lifting up to 50 lbs, transferring, or repositioning of individual as needed.

Full Time or Part Time Day hours
No experience is necessary and a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.20 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
