Come join The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, the largest organization in NY serving people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities!! The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is currently recruiting for Direct Support Professionals to join their Residential Team.
As a Direct Support Professional in our Residential program you will be providing individualized, person-centered, skills training and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings. This position is great for those who want to come to work and make a difference in people’s lives every day.
Schedule: 1st shift ( 6-2p) 2nd Shift (generally 2p-10p, or 3p-11p) 3rd shift (overnights 10p-6a)
Hourly Pay: $16.80 per hour $0.25 2nd Shift Differential & $0.50 for a 3rd shift
Positions are currently available throughout Dutchess County including Poughkeepsie, Wappingers, Pleasant Valley, Salt Point, Clinton Corners and LaGrangeville.
Valid/ Clean NYS Drivers License Required (Must have for a minimum of 1 year). This is an Entry Level Position. We offer one week of paid training.
A Glimpse into the life of a Direct Support Professional:
Start your day by assisting the people we support get ready for their day, greet them when they come home after attending program or working at their community-based job, working together to prepare dinner and clean up, assist them getting ready for bed and doing household chores. When your day or evening or night is done, sit back and think of what you have accomplished and how you feel in assisting the people we provide supports and services to.
