What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Coach Supervisor (School Services) position at The Arc Greater Hudson Valley, NY?
The Arc Greater Hudson Valley is currently recruiting for a Full Time, 30 Hours per week, School to Work Job Coach Supervisor to work within school districts located in Dutchess County.
These districts include:
- Hyde Park Central - ( FDR High School) School District Monday-Friday (8:30a-2:30pm)
In this role, you will be expected to implement and/or create lessons designed to improve the job-readiness skills of students enrolled in this program. Experience using Chromebooks and Smart Boards highly preferred, as we explore alternative ways of preparing students through the pandemic. This also includes the possibility of job-readiness through remote learning. You will also be expected to provide supports to students in community-based settings (job sites, volunteer sites, etc.) as required by the needs of the program. The mission of this program is to provide students with job-readiness training to create competitive employment opportunities for the students after high school. On-site assessments, recommendations, and ability to work within a team is required.
Requirements:
- HS Diploma/GED; Assoc/Bachelor's preferred.
- Valid Drivers License and a reliable mode of transportation.
- Reliability and flexibility to ensure the needs of the program are met.
- Team-oriented, but demonstrates ability to work effectively independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to conduct assessments of students reliably and with accuracy.
