What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional W/ Med Support position at The Arc Mid-Hudson?
The Direct Support Professional W/ Med Support is responsible for the health, safety and welfare of participants residing in The Arc Mid-Hudson residences. Their primary focus is to ensure that the medical needs of assigned residents are met, under direction of the Residential Coordinator (RC) and house nurse (RN). He/she is responsible for communicating all medical needs and information in a timely manner to the RC and RN.
Occupying a peaceful bucolic setting, Pinetree A/B is home to four vibrant women with varying interests and talents that complement each other and the staff who support them. The ladies are actively involved in setting goals toward a more meaningful and independent life while enjoying their community and various activities such as arts and crafts, theater, dining out and bowling. A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience in the DD field preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. An acceptable NYS driver's license is a must. Medication Administration certification must be obtained within first 90 days and be continually maintained. Knowledge of medical terminology medical background a plus.
- Base range is $ 22.24 to $ 24.47 based on relevant experience and education.
