MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, Level 2 Background Check and Local Law Enforcement background check. High School Diploma or GED. At least one year of experience working with persons who have developmental disabilities, or in a psychiatric, medical, nursing or childcare setting. College or vocational/technical training that equals at least 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours or 720 classroom hours may substitute for the required experience. Ability to supervise and train employees and clients. Possesses valid Florida driver's license. Good driving record. Self-starter, highly motivated. Good reading and writing skills. Strong desire to work with people with disabilities. Capable of operating independently and following directions. Can work flexible hours when needed. Maintains all required trainings and certifications.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for providing supervision and training for people with disabilities in a day training facility. Responsible for the supervision of staff including scheduling, supervising direct service professionals, timecard reconciliation, and various reporting completed in a timely manner. This position requires staff person that stays alert and aware at all times. A professional attitude and demeanor when interacting with clients, staff, volunteers and visitors is necessary. Must be able to lead, give direction and delegate responsibilities to maintain efficiency of the facility.
EXAMPLES OF WORK (NOT ALL INCLUSIVE)
1. Create a congenial and home like atmosphere within the day training facility. Utilize training materials to teach and guide clients.
2. Promotes a maximum independence of each client.
3. Facilitates opportunities for residents to be involved in community activities such as shopping, leisure and religious activities and maintain an activity schedule.
4. Supervises employees of ADT as well as directing volunteers.
5. Assist each resident in developing attitudes and behavior appropriate to community living.
6. Be supportive of and encourage each resident’s participation in the day training or vocational program prescribed.
7. Protect each resident's rights and freedoms and maintain confidentiality of personal information concerning the individual, in accordance with the Bill of Rights for people with intellectual disabilities. Will also maintain confidentiality of personal and confidential information of employees.
8. Report any unusual incidents to the Adult Day Training Manager. Always following the chain of command.
9. Report suspected abuse or neglect.
10. Maintain facility, employee and client records. Reconcile employee timecards bi-weekly.
11. Provide for proper storage, handling of drugs and medicines. Assist the client by making medications available and reminding the client to take them at the appropriate times.
12. Provide for or assist in transportation for clients to and from place of employment, personal appointments, and for recreational and other events using company vehicles.
13. Assist residents in communication with their families.
14. Assist residents in handling of money, and making, and keeping appointments when indicated.
15. Ensures opportunity for both client and staff privacy.
16. Responsible for supervisory duties.
17. Participate in monthly fire evacuation drills and all disaster drills with proper documentation.
18. Maintain a safe environment for clients, employees and visitors.
19. Avoid the exploitation of any client.
20. Supervise and participate in routine maintenance. Ensures cleanliness of facility/grounds.
21. Assist in the on-going assessment of client progress as well as staff.
22. Ensure the implementation of program plan (IPP), and input the information in the Therap Software system.
23. Ensure work hours are recorded on the electronic time software daily and employee timecards are correct and approved for payroll.
24. Assist each client as needed with self-care and grooming needs.
25. Provide physical assistance to client as needed.
26. Provide reports, documentation and compliance information to manager, various staff and executive[KD1] director in a timely manner, meeting deadlines.
27. Performs other duties as assigned, expectations are not all inclusive.

SALARY RANGE: $16-$17 hourly
