The Arc of Cape May County is a non-profit agency serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Cape May County. We are supportive of their goals and assist with their needs. Our goal is to provide quality assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities and to help them to become as independent as possible.
The Compliance and Quality Assurance Clerk is responsible for assisting the department with the gathering and review of documentation, audits, generating reports, and other administrative duties. This is commensurate with experience and education and continued growth and development of scope of duties, that ensure the agency compliance with standards and provision of quality supports and services.
- Training - Assist the training department in ensuring that staff are adequately trained. Provide or assist with staff training in changes in applicable regulatory requirements, in agency standards, and policies, regarding documentation requirements and other areas as needed;
- Database Management - Monitor aspects of the Therap database in accordance with agency policies and external regulations while ensuring users have appropriate access and knowledge needed to capture comprehensive records related to the care of individuals served;
- Safeguards sensitive information by ensuring that access to individuals’ data is limited to proper staff as defined by all relevant compliance regulations and policy/procedures of the agency including but not limited to HIPAA;
- Provide Therap training to staff at orientation and as needed;
- Assist staff with questions regarding the Therap database system;
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the Therap database system to ensure maximization of Therap module utilization and communicates all necessary changes in a timely and easy to understand manner to appropriate staff;
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of the database by reporting any violations of policies or procedures concerning input, viewing, and report use within the Therap database system;
- Ensure comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date information is maintained in Therap;
- Assists in the implementation of audit processes to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations and program guidance for all lines of business;
- Assists department with quality review of daily documentation, follow up, tracking and communication of areas of compliance, correction, and improvement;
- Assists department with monitoring and revisions of Individual Service Plans, including annual review preparations and supports to programs, Case Management activities;
- Assists the Compliance and Quality Improvement Department with completing and submitting investigation reports, Unusual Incident Reports, and other external communications, as needed.
Education/Qualifications
- Associate's Degree preferred;
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Therap experience a plus
