What You'll Do:
- Career Guidance: Conduct assessments to evaluate individuals' skills, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Individualized Employment Planning: Develop tailored job placement strategies and recommend training programs.
- Job Development & Placement: Connect individuals with potential employers and facilitate job searches.
- Job Readiness Training: Help individuals build essential workplace skills, including communication and task management.
- On-the-Job Support: Provide coaching and assistance to ensure job retention and long-term success.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with vocational rehabilitation counselors, local businesses, and community partners.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, track employment milestones, and follow state vocational rehabilitation guidelines.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support individuals and engage with employers.
- Ability to build positive relationships and provide encouragement to job seekers.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to assist with job placements and workplace adjustments.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and an acceptable driving record required.
- High school diploma or GED required, bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in job coaching, employment services, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus!
