Summary
Our CLE (Community Life Engagement) service professionalswork to assist our participants with becoming a part of their localcommunities and becoming more independent.
They work to integrateparticipants into the community by helping with daily activitiesfinding employment providing transportation and advocating for therights and services of individuals with disabilities.
Essential JobFunctions
- Training andsupervising assigned participants (work / nonwork community accessvolunteerism)
- Submits an initial assessment andcontinuous annual assessments on their participantsprogress
- Hold consistent meetings regarding anindividuals programming / services
- Implements anddocuments outcomes and methods per ISP and / or BehaviorManagement
- Completing all service documentation(attendance interaction work / nonworkactivities)
- Completing scheduled training andcontinued education
- Provides confidentialfeedback to participants and other appropriate individuals.Advocates for all participants asappropriate
- Transports participants todesignated locations following all safety and transportationguidelines
- Drives a morning or afternoon routeincluding picking up participants from their homes or dropping offat their home
Education / Experience
- GED or High School Diploma bachelors degree inhuman services or related disciplinepreferred
- Previous experience working withpersons with intellectual disabilitiespreferred
- Must have a valid LA Drivers Licenseand auto insurance
- Must have and be willing touse reliable transportation daily that passes agencyinspection
Skills / Qualifications
- Excellent time and prioritymanagement
- Ability to collaborate withparticipants and their families as well ascolleagues
- Experience with Microsoft includingTeams Outlook SharePoint etc.
- Critical thinkingand problemsolving evidenced by pastexperiences
