Summary
Our Grounds Crew Leaders work closely with our participants who work on our Grounds team. This includes taking crews out to the lakefront and assisting in other groundskeeping work across the New Orleans metro. They are responsible for transporting and supervising crew members while completing contract requirements, and track all clock times for their crew. Grounds Crew Leaders oversee contract quality control and must provide frequent updates to the Grounds Manager regarding contract status.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains attendance records for crew members and assignments
- Submit weekly timesheets for all assigned crew members
- Documents and reports progress, incidents, and accidents as directed to the department manager and/or director promptly
- Train crew members to learn the skills needed to complete tasks related to assigned contracts
- Trains staff and crew members on proper equipment use to ensure safety standards are met
- Oversees quality control of all work performed at each site
- Maintains inventory of equipment
- Keeps equipment in good working condition and properly reports any problems to their supervisor
- Organizes, secures, and provides basic maintenance on tools and equipment
- Acts as a liaison between crew members and office staff
- Transport crew members to and from job sites

Education/Experience Requirements
- Successful completion of ArcGNO DSP Training is required
- At least one year of commercial landscape experience preferred
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred
- Some experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Must have a valid LA driver’s license and pass an MVR check
