In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our HR department's initiatives like recruitment, HRIS administration, and employee relations.The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a basic understanding of human resources practices, including recruiting, payroll, and employee relations.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, including data collection for payroll and benefits administration.
- Complete quarterly, semi-annual, and yearly checks for employees to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies (LDH, CARF, CMS, etc.)
- Maintain I-9 compliance and verifications as needed
- Assist with planning and execution of human resources events including open enrollment, career and job fairs, and annual training
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

- Associate’s degree in business administration or other business-focused degree required
- At least one year of prior experience working in a corporate or professional setting required
- Willingness to work toward and obtain a certification in Human Resources from HRCI (aPHR or PHR) or SHRM (CP)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Prior experience working with a Human Resources Information System preferred
- Ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy especially in complex and confidential situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
