Job Title: Receptionist
Reports To: ITP Program Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Hours: 8 am to 2 pm Monday -Thursday & 8:00 am to 12:00 pm - Friday
SUMMARY
Performs secretarial and receptionist duties for the Infant & Toddler Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel
Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards call to appropriate personnel
Performs pre-admission and insurance information
Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information
Scan daily mail log and file on Admin Drive
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel
Schedules appointment for outpatients
Obtain insurance information and any other necessary data
Process payments from patients for co-pays and uninsured visits
Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to help schedule other off-site services
Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients
Maintain patient records
Handle billings in Fusion Web base
Serves as a point of contact for office supplies needed
Monitors visitor access
Maintains copier, postage meter, and other office equipment
Receives, sorts, logs, and routes mail daily
Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes
Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary
Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying and collating
Assists with various mailouts from the department
Be punctual and in attendance at work as scheduled

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school education/GED with at least one-year experience as a receptionist/secretary.
