Building Maintenance Worker
The Arc of Monmouth supports and empowers individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are seeking a qualified Building Maintenance Worker to join our organization.
Summary
The Building Maintenance Worker will be responsible for a full range of skilled and semi-skilled indoor and outdoor maintenance and repair work as well as maintain an orderly and safe work environment in Arc facilities.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or related degree from a technical college
General maintenance skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and experience with the use and care of hand/power tools, required. Polite and professional demeanor. Time management, critical thinking, and effective communication skills required.
1. Complete a full range of skilled and semi-skilled indoor and outdoor maintenance and repair work.
2. Maintain an orderly and safe work environment in all Arc of Monmouth facilities.
3. Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, safe operating condition. Attend to the proper storage of such equipment.
4. Purchase necessary materials and supplies, with attention to detail and time management, as directed by the Facilities Director.
5. Pick up and deliver materials, equipment, and supplies and perform errands as needed.
6. Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
7. Complete preventative maintenance checks and repairs at all Arc of Monmouth facilities as directed by the Facilities Director.
8. Respond to service calls to various Arc of Monmouth facilities as directed by the Facilities Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
