Job Description:
The Arc of Monmouth supports and empowers individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live, work and participate in their communities. We believe that people with disabilities are defined by their individual strengths, their abilities, and their dreams- not by their challenges. We are currently searching for several Direct Support Professionals to join our team at our Adult Services Day Program.
This position is from 8am to 4pm, based on the needs of the program.
Responsibilities:
-Participate as a member of an inter-disciplinary team in the development and implementation of Service Plans for the individuals served.
-Asses the individuals' abilities through direct observation, charting and the administration of standardized measures.
-Engage the individuals in meaningful activities and interactions within the center and in a variety of community settings.
-Encourage adaptive behavior, health coping and appropriate socialization of individuals through good role modeling
Requirements:
-High School diploma/GED
-Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or dual diagnosis and experience with behavior management preferred
-A valid non probationary Driver's License and a driving record that is acceptable to The Arc and its insurer'
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
