What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN - Medication Oversight Nurse position at The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod?
If you are looking for a job with an organization that makes a lasting difference in people’s lives, join The Arc of Plymouth & Upper Cape Cod as our Medication Administration Program (MAP) Oversight Nurse (LPN).
We are a nonprofit organization that has been supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families for over 50 years. Our mission is to provide individualized supports, programs and services to assist individuals to thrive at home, at work and in their communities by supporting people to live where they choose, with whom they choose, for as long as they wish with the ongoing supports needed to sustain that choice.
Due to our significant divisional growth, we are looking for a Full-time or Part-time MAP Nurse to oversee our Medication Administration Program and support our MAP certified direct care staff. You will provide close to the ground monitoring of the overall health of the residents of our Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) group homes and evaluate adherence to MAP protocols. We currently operate five homes with four individuals living in each.
The ideal candidate will be an LPN with a current Massachusetts license. Familiarity with MAP regulations and protocols will be extremely helpful, but we will train the right person. Your success in this position will be measured by your ability to monitor the ongoing health of the individuals living in our group homes, that medications are administered by MAP trained staff according to protocols, and ongoing training (and retraining) takes place in a timely manner. This role has a chance to grow as we open additional homes in the future.
