Position Summary :
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Community Guide to develop and implement creative community outings for individuals with diverse needs.
As a Community Guide, you will play a key role in enhancing the lives of participants by supervising outings, providing transportation, and ensuring a safe and engaging experience.

Working Days & Hours :
- Scheduled Work Days : Monday - Friday
- Work Hours : 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM (40 hrs / wk)
- Location : Largo (Bridges)
Key Responsibilities :
- Community Integration : Plan and organize a variety of community outings that promote social interaction, inclusion, and sensory stimulation for participants.
- Supervision & Safety : Ensure the health and safety of all participants and staff during outings.
- Documentation : Complete required reports, including trip reports, mileage logs, and incident reports.
- Transportation : Safely operate agency vehicles to transport participants to and from community activities.
- Personnel & Training : Attend staff meetings and training sessions, supervise and train staff on individual plans (IPs) and behavior plans (BPs).
- Direct Care : Provide support with daily activities, including personal and health care needs, as well as range of motion exercises.
- Program Operations : Assist in developing and implementing Individual Plans (IPs) and Behavior Plans (BPs), and maintain organized and safe program environments.
- Supervisory Responsibilities : Participate in staff recruitment, supervision, and performance evaluations for assigned staff.
You Are Our Ideal Candidate If :
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of successful employment in a related field.
- Are at least 21 years old with a desire to work hands-on with individuals with disabilities who require substantial assistance.
- Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with the ability to operate agency vehicles safely.
- Possess strong oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals, families, staff, and community members.
- Are detail-oriented, with the ability to document activities and participant progress clearly and in a timely manner.
- Have a passion for supporting individuals with disabilities in a meaningful and respectful way, promoting their independence and integration into the community.
