What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Receivable Billing Associate position at The Arc of San Diego?
We are currently hiring an Accounting Associate to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate billing of large, complex agencies which provide the main funding sources for our client services. This role is an integral component in our accounting team.
The pay range for this position is $24-$26 per hour.
Who you are:
- Detail oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
- Possess a firm understanding of the principles and practices of accounting and financial record keeping
- Familiar with multiple funding sources and restricted funds
- Dedicated and desire to work in an environment mission-focused on serving persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities
A typical day will include:
- Medi-Call billing reconciliation.
- Posting billing and payments to GL; analyzing receivable accounts.
- Preparing billing and ensuring accuracy of payments: Medi-Cal; San Diego Regional Center; Sodexo.
- Creating and reconciling financial reports in multiple systems.
- Assisting with annual external audits
- Preparing cash and check deposits.
- Prepare quarterly and annual reports to provide to the Department of Health Care Services.
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Medi-Cal billing and reconciliation experience
- High comfort working with financial software and Excel
We’d love it if you:
- Had experience using Blackbaud Financial Edge software
- Had experience working for a non-profit service organization
