Job Coach II - San Diego

We are currently hiring a Job Coach II to join our team. You will be working 100% in community-based settings. You will work 1:1 with several individuals at their job sites. Your schedule will vary based on the support needs of the program participants. You will travel in your own vehicle between work sites to deliver services to help them succeed equipped with the right skills at their jobs.

The pay range for this position is: $20.50 - $21.15.

A typical day will include:

Providing culturally appropriate direct support to individuals using person-centered approaches and strategies including:

• Ensuring completion of work tasks as required by the employer and/or established procedures
• Providing on-going training to participants throughout the workday as needed
• Communicating effectively and professionally with employer and other employees at the work site
• Demonstrating appropriate work behaviors at all times
• Completion of electronic documentation prior to end of shifts

What you’ll need to be successful:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
• High comfort in using multiple computer /mobile device programs 
• Demonstrated knowledge relating to the rights and support services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Ability to translate employer needs to individuals with disabilities

We’d love it if you:

• Had 1 or more years of prior hands-on experience with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities
• Are multi-lingual (English, Spanish, Tagalog)
• Have experience with electronic case management systems (Therap)
• Have experience with individual service plans (goal development)
