What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parent to Parent Spokane County Coordinator position at The Arc of Spokane?
Learning that a child has a developmental disability or chronic healthcare need is a life-changing experience. As a Parent to Parent Coordinator, you will help parents overcome the challenges they face each day by providing emotional support, information about resources, and matching them to Helping Parents who understand their circumstances.
Qualifications:
Business professional, office environment, displaying leadership in the following:
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; articulate in public speaking and perceptive assessment skills;
- Experienced in the training and supervision of volunteers;
- Excellent time management and organizational skills;
- Coordinator is self-motivated and self-directed;
- Experience maintaining case records and statistical data.
Requirements:
- Minimum age of 18
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be a parent of a child with a disability.
- Occasional travel is required.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have a valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
Compensation: $21.00-$23.10. DOE starting range, entire scale to $27.30 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 30 hours per week, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, Personal Leave
- All pay is based on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus, the starting pay for this position is $21.00 per hour.
Funding for this position is grant-based and may be subject to change upon renewal.
