What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) position at The Arc of the Quad Cities Area?

This exempt position has a schedule that may routinely work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., some evenings and weekends, with schedule flexibility to ensure that program needs are met.
Specific duties and qualities required: The primary role of this person is to assist individuals as their caseworkers directly. They will act as a bridge between the individuals, their families, and various agencies. Their primary responsibilities include maintaining benefits, organizing files according to regulations, and leading meetings, IDTs, and IHPs. They should also be able to collaborate effectively with CSO, ISSA workers, and guardians. In addition, they must possess exceptional organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow instructions. Strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential.
Qualifications: This applicant must have a four-year degree in a qualifying field, such as human services, social work, or psychology, as deemed appropriate by DHS. The applicant must also have worked with individuals with I/DD for at least one year. A valid driver's license in good standing and appropriate auto insurance are required.
