Description
General:
Under the immediate Supervision of the Staff Manager, and the indirect supervision of the Director of Adult Day Services. The employee in this position is responsible for providing skills acquisition training to participants as identified in their Individual Program plans, and to engage the program participants in meaningful classroom activities in their assigned areas.
Other qualities:
Must possess good interpersonal skills when meeting face to face with families, visiting students, visitors, API), Qlarant, and Support Coordinators.
This position is non- exempt.

Specific Duties:
- Ensures the agency safety procedures are adhered to by program participants and staff. Advises Staff Manager of any problems.
- Understand and practice the Participant Bill of Rights and the Principle of Normalization when working with or advocating for program participants.
- Responsible for the welfare and safety of all program participants.
- Implements program participants skill acquisition and Behavior Management Programs as scheduled.
- Provides program participants with skill acquisition and other formal and informal programming, Notifies Staff manager of any programming issues.
- Maintains data documentation for skill acquisition and other programs as scheduled.
- Assist with completion of assessments of all program participants skills as assigned.
- Assists with preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual documentation of program participants achievements as assigned.
- Ensures utilization of skills achieved during skill acquisition programs through leisure, recreational and social activities as designated by the Staff Manager.
- Notifies Staff Manager of significant program participant changes, problems, or needs.
- Completes and submits incident reports in a timely manner to Staff Manger/ADT Habilitation Specialist.
- Assists program participants with dispensing medication as directed and completes appropriate documentation.
- Ensures that the program participants are clean and groomed in a generally accepted standard while at the day program. Maintains the assigned areas according to licensing requirements reflecting good health and safety practices.
- Attends scheduled staff meetings to discuss administrative and program participant issues and solutions as assigned.
- Follows procedure for logging into Paylocity to complete time sheets, vacation, and sick request.
- Assists in emergency situations and ensures all required documentation is completed.
- Using approval Behavioral Practices and Safety Care, maintains challenging behaviors. Discusses problems/issues with Staff Manager and Director of Day Services.

Performs in addition to those indicated specifically, such other duties and related assignments as may be required in fulfilling the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Effective written and oral communication skills to fulfill job requirements.
- Certification in CPR, Medication Training and First Aid and kept current.
- Certification in Safety Care and kept current.
- Evidence of good health and negative Covid test.
- Good moral character, appropriate local police screening, and appropriate Abuse Registry Clearance.
- A valid Florida Driver's License and proof of insurance.
- Three references of recommendation for the position.
- High School diploma or equivalent with one-year experience preferred.
- Be willing to obtain the highest Behavioral Certification as allowed by State guidelines. Previous experience in behavior management preferred.
Physical Qualification:
- Be able to stand for long duration's.
- Be able to push/pull up to 20 lbs.
- Be able to bend, kneel and squat.
- Be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Salary : $16
