The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter seeks an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our Financial Management team! This position is responsible for the Accounts Receivable function for the agency. The Billing Coordinator assists and reports to this position and the Senior Office Clerk when performing accounts receivable duties.
The goals and objectives of this position are to bill funding sources within regulated time restrictions for services, receive and post payments, and record and reconcile billing data to the related general ledger accounts.
This accounting work involves an in-depth understanding of several billing requirements and internal processes and an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as they relate to the function and accounting requirements.
Oneida County
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate, supervise, and monitor all processes of the billing cycle.
- Correctly record and apply cash, checks, and credit card receipts to outstanding invoices promptly and accurately.
- Review and analyze related general ledger accounts, adjust journal entries as necessary, and reconcile accounts to the general ledger monthly.
- Maintain a system to review the benefits for people we support to ensure proper payment of services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or another related field with three to four years of work experience in accounts receivable.
- Working knowledge of MS Office with a minimum intermediate-level proficiency in Excel required.
- Experience working with Great Plains, Fund EZ, and Therap preferred.
