Role Description
Reporting to Chief Development Officer, the Resource Development & Marketing Assistant will support the organization’s fundraising efforts and marketing strategies with a focus on donor communication and social media management as well as routine office tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about nonprofit work, skilled in database management, digital marketing, and has experience in managing social media platforms. This role is integral to driving engagement with supporters, donors, and the broader community, as well as enhancing the organization’s visibility; This position has no direct reports.

Here's What You'll Be Doing:
Fund Development Support:
- Assist in the preparation and execution of fundraising campaigns, including digital and in-person events.
- Support the development team with donor research, tracking contributions, and maintaining donor databases.
- Help prepare reports and donor communications, including thank-you letters, impact reports, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with the development team to identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Actively engage with our donors—acknowledging their support, addressing their concerns, and fostering deeper connections that translate into long-term loyalty.
Marketing and Social Media Management:
- Develop, schedule, and manage content for the organization’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions and messages in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze and report on social media engagement and performance metrics.
- Assist in creating visual content (graphics, infographics, short videos) for social media, newsletters, and the website.
- Coordinate and maintain a content calendar for social media posts, email newsletters, and other digital marketing activities.
