What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Nurse position at The Arc Southwest Indiana?
The Arc Southwest Indiana is searching for an experienced RN or LPN to work in our Residential Department in our Princeton location.
Candidates must be willing to make participant care their top priority. Candidates should also be organized, detail oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Attend acute and specialty medical appointments.
- Oversees the administration of medications prescribed by a doctor and reorders medication when needed.
- Assess all participant injuries within 24-hours. This also includes signs and symptoms and fall assessments.
- Assess work related injuries for staff within 24 hours, complete necessary documentation and communicate steps to be taken to the Human Resources Director.
- Performs all other duties as deemed necessary and/or assigned by the Executive Director and/or Departmental Directors.
- On-Call Rotation - On-Call consists of answering clinical questions, staff reporting vital signs out of range, assessing staff or consumer if they would get hurt or become sick. Most all issues can be handled via the phone. Nursing on call does not cover for call-ins or staffing issues.
Must be able to pass all required backgrounds and drug screen.
