At The Arc Wayne in Newark, NY we are looking for a full-time Teacher Aide for our Roosevelt Children's Center to aide in facilitating special education programs in areas of cognition, gross motor fine motor, self-help, social/emotional and behavior management skills.

A Day In The Life As A Teacher's Aide
- Participate in daily planning with the classroom team by contributing ideas and suggestions for activities
- Actively engage with students on a consistent basis
- Responsible for assuring the personal safety of children in all settings throughout the day
- Aides the classroom teacher with daily activities like gym, speech, filed trips, outdoor events and physical or occupational therapy
- Maintains good rapport with parent(s)/guardian(s)
- Aides in facilitating classroom activities and the established daily routine
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED
- Some lifting required
Hours: Part Time, Monday through Friday (7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
