Clinical Supervisor (LCSW) - Wellness Center

We are seeking a highly competent and nimble Licensed Clinician to provide clinical and administrative oversight of the Wellness Center, The Arc Westchester’s OPWDD licensed Article 16 Clinic, supporting individuals with IDD to live to their fullest potential.
Position Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor of the Wellness Center is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of The Arc Westchester’s Article 16 Clinic, and its clinical programs and staff. Reporting directly to the Assistant Executive Director of Community Innovations, the Clinical Supervisor provides leadership for and direct oversight of the array of clinical services and supports provided to individuals with disabilities and their families including PT, OT, SLP, psychotherapy, psychiatric services, and evaluations. The Manager may also conduct psychosocial assessments and provide on-going clinical services, within the scope of their license, to individuals with IDD. The Clinical Supervisor collaborates closely with the Treatment Coordinator and Medical Director to deliver a smooth and efficient referral and intake process and ensure the Wellness Center operates in full compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field, OR Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Valid NYS Clinical License in Clinical Social Work - LCSW.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of health and behavioral health care needs of individuals with IDD.
- Candidates with prior supervisory experience will be strongly considered.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and detail oriented.
- Ability to effectively train and supervise staff with diverse professional backgrounds.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Recordkeeping systems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Supervision
- Supervision/Training/Evaluation of staff including Treatment Coordinator and Clinicians.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop new services, sites, and programs related to clinical services in response to agency and community needs.
- Assure continuous quality improvement of program areas consistent with agency policies and OPWDD regulations.
- Regularly monitor and analyze service volume, revenue, and expenses in relation to program budgets and make all necessary adjustments to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee referral process, case tracking, and clinical documentation in Electronic Health Record.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to drive smooth and effective operations of Wellness Center, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Clinical Practice
- Conduct clinical sessions (OT/PT/SW/SLP) with individuals with IDD consistent with scope of practice under NYS license. Timely maintenance of weekly notes, bi-annual treatment plans and other case notes as required.
